One of my goals for this month in photography is to take 3000 photographs… that are good.
I am learning the power of goals. Even if I don’t make it all the way to 3000 at least I am actively trying. And that is a goal worth my time.
Question for my reader – what are some goals in your work? And how are they helpful?

This week I get to work with Matthew Wahl on a very fun project (Photos will come soon!). He’s a very talented designer and I always learn a lot from working with this cool and/or humble guy. Check out his work on Flickr. He’s got some skills.

I am in the process of thinking through my Esty/online shop. What I would like to put in it and whether or not I also want an online shop with limited edition prints for sale right here on my site. I am thinking both? Well, yes actually.
My wonderful hubby has been helping me think through what it is I want to do in this crazy world of photography. I love working in the studio, and yet I love working in the field doing more photojournalistic work. Either way It’s taking pictures and doing what I love.
So, would you guys, my friends & family buy my prints? (I know the latter will give an enthusiastic answer yes! Thanks Mom!) But, as I think through my work, what I love to do, It can be really daunting to put all my efforts into this vary hard, yet really amazing world of print making.
I love art, and I want my photographs to be as such. Something timeless, frozen into place by the light in my lens.
I have been encouraged by friends & family to run after this idea. They say my work falls into this kind of thing easily, but it’s hard to think in terms of ease and not ease for a means of determining not to do something or to do it. I want to work hard at whatever I end up really putting my time and heart into. Is it print making? Or weddings? Or photojournalism? Or all of them?
Well, I love weddings, and the few that I have shot with other fellow photographers that have been kind enough to let me come and work with them, have been amazingly fun. And this December I have the honor to take the photographs at a fellow photographer’s wedding in lovely Alabama! I am still amazed that they want me!
All this said I guess we will see what happens with my work. Print making or memory maker? Either way I am truly blessed. And just maybe I will get to do both! Praying that I will!

I did a little mini shoot with the lovely Campbell family last night. It was so hot that we had to call it quits after only about a half hour, but we got a few fun pictures.
Happy almost Father’s Day!
