Inspiration Wednesday & the Art of Perseverance
Posted: July 8th, 2009 | 7 Comments »
Today for my inspiration wednesday post I am asking you my reader to supply the inspiration. I am looking for examples of a lot of perseverance (something I lack). I can get very discouraged and want to give up when things get hard. But as Ryan (hubby) and I were talking last night he was reminding me that I need to keep going with things even when they are hard or discouraging.
Dear reader, who inspires you to keep going when times get tough?
Hello Beautiful “Daughter”! I’m so proud of you, and all the work you HAVE done in getting this going, and in getting your lovley photos “out there” for people to enjoy. When I am weary or discouraged, the Lord is my chief encourager, and His Word the source. One of my favorite verses is Gal. 6:9, and the one that says “when I am weak, then He is strong”. Lean on Him, beloved, and He WILL enable you to accomplish what seems impossible to you at a given moment. Also, my amazing friends have been great encouragers when I’m struggling. One of the best things Patti told me once when I was over-whelmed was that I needed to stop looking at EVERYTHING that I needed to do, and just do what I could for that day, or that hour. One step at a time, and it’s not so burdensome. Right now, I need to just mop my floor…I can’t look at the WHOLE house, or I get discouraged!! So that is your sage advice from a caring Mother-in-law today!! I hope it helps you. ” I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” Love you, Jenny! Mom K.
went here a few weeks ago to see this exhibit…

hey jenny… when i feeling like giving up i always remember how fleeting time is… moments that go by that i am not doing something i love or serving someone else are all wasted… and if there is one thing i hate, it’s wasted time… keep on friend!… love you
Thanks girls! As always you all inspire me to keep going!
I am so blessed and I know that my hard work will pay off in the long run!
jenny,
i just wanted to say that not to worry if you don’t get any sales on your shop right away. it takes a little while to get your first sale and then it picks up speed.
i love what you have (the key chains are such a good idea!).
you do some of my favorite work, i’m really excited to see what you continue to do.
Thanks Rachael, that is very good advice.
I must say that a few weeks back I felt so strained in my relationship with God and was so baffled by how I was supposed to live a life glorifying him when the world holds my chains so tight. But something so wonderful and quite inspirational happened.
As I sought God, His heart, and His truth, God began to unveil the revelation to me that when I seek Him, He finds supreme delight in blessing His children. Whether this is financially, emotionally, physically, or in another form, God is dedicated to seeing His sons and daughters walk in freedom, truth, and power.
There are indeed moments of trial – the mountains and valleys. These are, as C.S. Lewis so eloquently explains the troughs that we must go through in order to see God.
For our faith is not built on the mountain top.
On the mountain top we experience a view of God we can only see once in a while, for familiarity is the death of any faith that one might acquire.
But it is in the troughs – the valleys and hard places – that we experience God and life in a new light. The blessings we have, the life we live, those closest to us all become much more valuable in those times.
It is in the valley when we grow towards God because our faith is pushed, forced to grow. For that which is not growing is indeed dying, therefore the valleys will always define our faith.
Will we grow or die?
It is the heart and passion of God and Christ His son to see us grow into men and women of God, whom find delight in searching after His heart, for there and only there will we truly find fulfillment, unabated.
Love ya Jenny.
