Summer Reading

Read Jenny James BlogI love reading. It’s really good to stop and read during our busy lives. It’s most important in these seasons of hard work and stress.

I have been reading for my not photography related reading a book called The Little Country by Charles de Lint. It’s been good so far, but not sure about it yet.

I have been on a fantasy type book kick for a long time now. Since I read The Giver, Gathering Blue, & The Messenger by Lois Lowry I have been just eating it up. Everything from Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card to The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart. And can’t forget Pinocchio by Carlo Collodi.

Hooray for Reading!

I’ve been switching between Terry Pratchett and William Gibson for my reading these days. Pratchett is always good for some laugh out loud social commentary. Plus he uses the phrase “misery wrapped in an enema” that is arguable the best play on words I’ve come across all summer

The Giver is a super short read and so good. It’s for a younger/youth reader level, but it’s still amazing.

Thats my vote. Actually reading all three in the series is almost like reading one book. Lois Lowry is so good.
